Ensure GIS awareness across a range of public policy and decision-making arenas.

Priority Action Item: Develop a standardized data sharing agreement in consultation with the Attorney General’s Office.

Description of Project:
Background: Agreements currently take a lot of time to negotiate and are inconsistent between entities. Agreements need to facilitate data exchange to support short/long term business issues. Develop an agreement that does not need to be renegotiated for every data transaction.

_ A blanket agreement or set of agreements for sharing data among WA entities.

_ Boilerplate of what constitutes a legal data sharing agreement, that is consistant with state law, or at a minimum state a clear guideline on what an agreement should/can include

_ Conduct a policy review to clarify a common template for accomodating cost recovery issues.

_ Conduct a policy review to clarify a common template for accomodating liability issues.
