Strategic Business Plan: Latest Version of the First Draft

Following the Strategic Business Planning Workshop held at Snoqualmie Pass (October 12-13), the planning committee and consultant have been working to provide a first draft of the "Strategic Business Plan" Narrative for review and comment by the Washington GIS community.  Because of our needs to get key points defined and refined for discussion with WAGIC and the Washington Legislature beginning in December, our time frame is tight.  But we hope you'll participate!  Here's how:

But the important part is that we need to have your comments no later than Wednesday, December 23, in order to consider them in this review period.

You can download the draft in "Portable Document Format" for viewing with Adobe Acrobat Reader 3.01, or view and print the HTML version

Please email your comments as soon as you can.  And take time to review the Summary of Comments that will be posted, as we hear from you and from others.  In making comments, please try to offer specific and constructive suggestions for changes and provide a reference to the line number or section you're discussing.

In reviewing the most detailed section, "Objectives," you might bear in mind that a good number of very specific "Who?" "What?" and "When?" suggestions were generated at the October planning workshop.  They've been omitted from this first round of public review, but will play a big part in later consideration of implementation priorities.

The development of this Strategic Business Plan will continue to be an open process; the planning committee welcomes your input now, and will continue to seek it.  Thanks very much for your interest.
